James R. Smith Trucking Company was founded
in 1955. Initially concentrating in refrigerated transportation, James
R. Smith Trucking has expanded to include dry vans, flat beds and straight
trucks in the operation.
J.R.S. Logistics, Inc. was established in 1995 to separate the truck brokerage division of the company from the trucking company. With offices across the country, J.R.S. Logistics, Inc. coordinates movements and provides freight to motor carriers across the nation. In 1996 James Alan Smith, Teressa Smith Quick and Kellie Smith Emerson formed James A. Smith Transportation, Inc. as a nationwide carrier specializing in refrigerated and temperature controlled freight movements. James R.
