Mike Arnold




Mike Arnold is the Operations Manager for James R. Smith Trucking Co., Inc.  He has been employed with James R. Smith since May of 1991. Mike is a graduate of Good Hope High School and Wallace State College, where he obtained a degree in Business Management. Mike also holds a degree from Calhoun College in Transportation Management.

Mike is also an active member of the community, serving in many civic organizations and church activities. Mike currently serves as chairman of the Education Committee at the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce. At Good Hope High School, James R. Smith Trucking's Adopt-A-School, Mike serves on numerous committees and boards. Mike has served as president of the North Alabama Traffic Club for three years and is a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks where he holds the positions of Publicity Chairman for the local lodge and State Publicity Chairman for the Alabama State Association. Mike attends First United Methodist Church where he serves on the Stewardship committee and teaches Sunday school part time.

Mike is married to the former Kim Thornton who is employed by James R. Smith Trucking as the Accounting Administrator. The two have been married for over 5 years. Mike is the proud father of three children, Josh, age 14, Taylor, age 9, and Mike and Kim have a new .daughter, Makensi, who just had her first birthday.

In his spare time Mike enjoys collecting Hot wheels and attending Elk's functions.
